large number of different uses like crude oil, water, air transportation, etc.

What is pipeline construction:-
The pipeline construction is
nothing but joining a network of a large number of pipes in such an order that
a large amount of oil, gas, air can be transported through this network without
any leakage. Its structure looks similarly as an assembly. It's arranged the
same as the numbers of people sitting in an assembly. So it is said as assembly
structure.
The time required for pipeline construction:-
In order to construct a new
pipeline for easy and better transportation,
the construction process may vary according to length and place where it is
being constructed but the whole process may be completed in around eighteen
months of the time period. The construction process consists of around twelve
weeks at rough places.
Step by step Construction Process:-
The total construction process is divided into 5 subparts as shown below:-
- Storage
place and Construction area:- The
first step in the construction process of oil and gas pipelines is that we
have to select the area and directions. After declaring this we have to
set up large storage
tanks at the starting point of our construction area. The storage tank is
placed at the beginning of the construction place because we have to store
the things which are to be transported. Then the transportation takes
place according to the designed pipeline and flows in the same direction
of the pipeline.
- Clearing
the way:- In order to construct, we have to clear the way of pipeline flow
direction. We have to take the landowners permission through which the
pipeline flows. Cut down the trees and make a clear way to lay down the
pipeline.
- Pipeline Laying process:- From the selected area and cleared trees, we have to dig the mud and place the pipelines in such a way that the flow of water can easily pass through the network. This part is very important because if the water is not flowing then there is no way of flowing gas or air. so it is made compulsory.
- Obstacles:-
Generally, when we construct the pipeline the flow direction my collab
with roads, dams, highways etc. so in such places, the pipeline can't be
laid. so in order to make the pipeline and find Gas Pipeline
Report, we choose the underground means we have to dig the ground
and make the pipeline from underground.
5. Testing
the flow of pipeline:- This is the final part of the pipeline construction.
After following the above construction points testing is done by hydrostatic
testing. Which will tell that pipeline is ready for transportation or not. If
not according to displayed notice or can be corrected.
